• Protecting the Jewels of the Night: How you can support fireflies

  Join Richard Joyce from the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation for an evening exploring the natural history and conservation of fireflies and how homeowners can help these amazing insects thrive. The presentation will showcase some of our region's fabulous firefly diversity, discuss fireflies as possible pollinators, and introduce viewers to the Firefly Atlas community science project.

• Biological Control of Garden Pests

  We welcome Hannah Broadley, Supervisory Biological Scientist with the Forest Pest Methods Laboratory of U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to talk with us about biological control of garden pests. She and her co-authors have conducted work and published on control of Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) using a tiny tiny parasitoid wasp, Dryinus sinicus.
