ABOUT US

This club provides a space to learn and share plant information whether you are just learning to garden or are the lead horticulturist for public or private gardens. All skill levels are welcome. Our 100+ members primarily come from Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, though all are welcome.  The club has a long history of being a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community. It was founded in 1979. 

We have monthly online meetings on weeknights with regional and national speakers. We have day outings to gardens, good nurseries, or both. We have fall and spring plant sales which allow us to pay speakers honorariums and keep membership fees low. The plant swaps are in the spring and fall. The listserv allows you to ask questions and get answers, usually in a couple of hours.
