Breeding Roses of the Future

  • Thu, August 20, 2026
  • 7:15 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Online
Andrew Barocco will talk about how most roses we grow and use today are basically the descendants of 5 original species. Those 5 have given the extraordinary diversity we see today, so just imagine when we start to incorporate some of the untapped wild rose species out there that haven’t really been used yet (there are approximately 100 of them!)

Please join the Zoom a little early to chat with Olivia Martin and other members at 7:15 pm, then the talk begins at 7:30.

We will be taping for our YouTube channel if this time is inconvenient, but please join us if you can. There are 200 members of this club. but only ten or fifteen usually sign on.
