It's that time again — leaves are turning, gardens are winding down, and it's the perfect moment to swap your extras for someone else's treasures! Join us for our Fall Plant Exchange, a jovial gathering of dirt-under-the-fingernails folks looking to share, swap, and grow their collections (and maybe chat a little over coffee and cold drinks).

When: Saturday, October 10th
Arrival & Setup: 10:00 AM
Swap Begins: 10:00 AM
Host: Olivia and James Martin
Location: 9219 Mintwood Street, Silver Spring, MD 20901
Lost? Call: 301-325-7449
Swap Conductor: The one and only Lynn Title, keeping us all in line and having fun doing it!

What to Bring:
Plants, cuttings, houseplants, hardy and tropical varieties, woodies, seeds, veggies, pots, tools, gardening books — if it's green (or garden-adjacent), bring it! Please label your plants so no one ends up with a mystery mystery-plant.

How It Works:
Arrive by 10:00 AM, check in at the welcome table, and set your offerings out alphabetically on the garden knee wall in back. Take some time to browse before we kick things off around 10:30 AM with quick plant descriptions — keep it snappy and only call out the unusual stuff!

Then it's numbers-from-a-hat time (the host is traditionally Zero, naturally), and Lynn will call numbers up, down, and all around until everyone's had their turn. It moves fast, so come with a wish list — and a backup plan in case your dream plant gets snagged first! Bring a crate or box to stash your winnings away from the swap area. Anything you brought that doesn't get chosen is yours to take back home.

A Friendly Ask: Reply to this email with a list of what you're planning to bring, as well as what you're hoping to find — it helps everyone plan their swap strategy (and builds the anticipation)!

Membership Reminder: This swap is for Four Seasons Garden Club members only. If you're not yet a member (or need to renew), Wendy will happily take your dues at check-in — $15 for a single membership, $25 for a family. She's also keeping the headcount, so don't be shy saying hello!

Afterwards: Stick around for refreshments and good company — coffee and nibbles on us, but feel free to bring finger foods or drinks to share. And if you're curious, I'm happy to give garden tours after the dust settles.

Can't wait to see what everyone's growing — see you on the 10th!

Warmly,
Olivia and James Martin
